About Business Hive Vilnius

Founding

Founded in 2010, Business Hive Vilnius (BHV) is one of the oldest startup incubators and technology hubs in the Baltics. Primarily focused on hardware, security, blockchain, artificial intelligence, fintech, and cybersecurity.

In 2021, unable to withstand the Covid-19 crisis, BHV’s physical hub was closed and the building sold. Activities were transformed into virtual mentorship and cluster projects. The cluster survived, earned the ECEI Bronze Label, and continues its work today. Read the full BHV history →

CEO and founder

BHV was founded by Marius Pareščius — a well-known Lithuanian IT and security expert, serial entrepreneur, IT counselor to the Lithuanian Parliament, and a certified ESCA cluster benchmarking expert (since 2017, the first in Lithuania with this qualification). One of Lithuania’s IT pioneers and a board member of the Lithuanian Cluster Association, Marius shares his expertise mentoring startups from Lithuania, the CIS and EU states, participates in EU institution working groups, and speaks at industry conferences worldwide.

Cluster activities

BHV manages the ongoing activities of the Lithuanian ICT Cluster (formerly “Užupis Creative Cluster”, established 2010). The cluster operates in ICT, creative industries, cybersecurity, research and other fields.

The cluster’s mission is to create and implement high-value national and international projects, technologies and solutions in ICT and cybersecurity. Its vision is to become the most successful cluster in Lithuania and a leader in ICT and cybersecurity project management in Europe.
