About the cluster

Our cluster was established as the association “Užupis Creative Cluster” — a non-profit public entity — in 2010. The cluster operates in information and communication technologies (ICT), creative industries, cybersecurity, research and other fields.

2018 — Lithuanian ICT Cluster

In 2018 the cluster was renamed to “Lithuanian ICT Cluster”.

2020–2021 — the Covid crisis

Hard times came to the world in 2020 — due to the Covid-19 situation, our cluster’s management organization went bankrupt in 2021, but the team and cluster members decided to continue working on cluster projects.

2022–2024 — the EXCITE partnership

The BHV cluster took part in the European Commission-funded EXCITE project (Exchange of Clusters using Digital Transformation for Excellence) as one of six partners — alongside Germany’s Silicon Saxony, Poland’s Mazovia Cluster ICT, Bulgaria’s Cluster for Digital Transformation and Innovations, Spain’s GAIA, and France’s Pôle SCS. Cluster and projects manager Minvydas Latauskas represented BHV at all official consortium missions — in Dresden, Warsaw, Sofia and Bilbao.

Current focus

After EXCITE, the cluster focused on three directions: cybersecurity and NIS2 compliance consulting, practical AI adoption in business, and dual-use regulatory questions in defense technology. The cluster’s mission is to create and implement high-value national and international projects, technologies and solutions in ICT and cybersecurity.
